My Role:

I had no direct influence on the design on the payload section, but did set design requirements and oversaw construction and testing. But here are some details for completeness.

Design:

The payload system works chiefly as a data acquisition system. The payload team had a handful of experiments planed in conjunction with the Norco College Biology Department. I had also requested that the payload be able to record accelerometer, barometer and strain gauge data at several points along the rocket.
